(08/17/2020 - 08/21/2020)
ONTARIO HOCKEY FEDERATION

Welcome to the 1st annual Hockey Canada Multi-Sport Summer Camp in Middlesex Centre at the Komoka Wellness and Recreation Centre!

***Please note that we are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and how it relates to the operation of this camp. As of March 12th, Hockey Canada has cancelled all sanctioned programs for the foreseeable future which will not resume until it is safe to do so as determined by the Hockey Canada Board of Directors. Registration for our Hockey Canada Multi-Sport Summer Camp will remain open at this time. Should we have to cancel or postpone as we get closer to the date, all registrants will receive a full refund.***

We are extremely happy to announce that we will be bringing the Hockey Canada Multi-Sport Summer Camp to Middlesex Centre following the successful delivery in Seguin & Amherstview over the past six years. The camp is brought to you in partnership with the Ontario Hockey Federation, Ontario Minor Hockey Association, and Ilderton Jets Minor Hockey as part of a continued effort to provide exceptional development opportunities and experiences for our youth.

The Hockey Canada Multi-Sport Summer Camp will take place this coming summer from Monday, August 17th - Friday, August 21st at the Komoka Wellness and Recreation Centre and is open to all players in U9 (Novice and Minor Novice), U11 (Atom and Minor Atom) & U13 (Peewee and Minor Peewee) for both boys and girls.

The on-ice component of the Hockey Canada Summer Camp focuses on individual skill development. Each day will specialize in a fundamental core competency - including skating, stick-handling and puck-control, shooting, and passing - with the final day focused on applying each of these skills in a small area games competition. Whether your child is playing recreationally, or is on their way to becoming the next Connor McDavid, the drills are tailored to every player's skill set and ability. Most importantly, the focus is always on having FUN!

Hockey Canada is proud to offer this multi-sport camp in conjunction with a number of other National and Provincial Sport Organizations. This means that participants will receive instruction from the experts in each of these sports. Following the Long Term Athlete Development Model, we believe that it is important for all children to participate in multiple sports and this is a great introduction that will cover the fundamentals of these sports. In the past, we have been fortunate to have instruction from Baseball Canada, Golf Ontario, Spikeball, Canada Basketball, Rugby Ontario, Ultimate Canada, Ontario Soccer, Ontario Lacrosse Association, and our community partners the Ontario Provincial Police and Royal Canadian Military in attendance. Stay tuned for who we will be bringing with us to Middlesex Centre this year!

The cost per child is $475 and includes a Hockey Canada Summer Camp Jersey, Camp T-Shirt, and gift at the end of each day.

There will be many more exciting details to come in the months and weeks leading up to Hockey Canada Summer Camp!
