Hockey Canada U-14 Goaltender Development Program - Application Form

(04/27/2019 - 04/28/2019)

The Ontario Hockey Federation is proud to partner with Hockey Canada and the Ontario Hockey League to offer the Hockey Canada U-14 Goaltender Development Program.
These camps will introduce the U-14 goaltender to the skills, concepts, and techniques of the Hockey Canada Program of Excellence Goaltending Program.

The only camp in Ontario will take place on Saturday, April 27th & Sunday, April 28th at the Activa Sportsplex in Kitchener, ON. The camp is open to all 2005-born boys who are currently in their Minor Bantam year (preference will be given to those currently playing AAA). Applications will be accepted until February 24, 2019 and all applicants will be notified of their status by mid-March.
The camp will admit 36 U-14 goaltenders to experience the program under the guidance of Hockey Canada, Provincial Branch, and Ontario Hockey League experts and consultants.
The curriculum and design of the camp has been created by Hockey Canada's High Performance Goaltending Advisory Group to introduce young goaltenders to high performance concepts and an introduction to the Program of Excellence. This will include a focus on skating, edge work, tracking of the puck, and rebound control in station-based learning.

Each day will consist of two on-ice sessions led by Hockey Canada and Branch Personnel and three off-ice sessions focused on mental prep, proper warm-up and cool-down procedures, and an Introduction to the Hockey Canada Program of Excellence. All players will receive a Hockey Canada jersey and off-ice t-shirt.
If selected, the registration cost for the U-14 Goaltender Development Program is $350.00 + HST. Applications to participate are now being accepted.
